I started the first project with a Samsonite makeup case I found in a thrift store. It is in very good condition, so I hated to see it just sit sadly on a shelf in an old store. I brought it home and gave it a facelife
What you will need:
1 Lg. Jar of Mod Podge
Paint brush
Ribbon
Acrylic paint (Sold at hobbylobby or Walmart)
Sharpie of your chosing
A small piece of fabric
Cute pictures either paper or fabric ( I found these travel pics on an old shirt) I love using old men's shirts. The fabric is stiff.
It took me a week to finish. I chose a zebra print for the top attaching with Mod Podge. Quickly realizing that fitting the fabric around corners is not easy. I took a sharpie and when around the little ridges that a ribbon wouldn't fit. Then while looking through my stash of ribbon pieces, I found the hot pink and zebra ribbon for the wide part and attaching with Mod Podge. Then I painted the bottom and mod podged it too with the pictures
Here it is and available for sale $40My next project involved my famous men's shirt. I chose this Hilfigure shirt because I like the pocket for a cell phone holder. Perfect size
The inside has a zippered pocket and lined in off white cotton. I see I forgot to button that last button. OOPS. Its cute and fully machine washable. Love Love and plan to use.
How was your day?
