I have been hoping to put pictures of my quilts all in one place to keep up with them since my memory ain't what it used to be. I will try to give a year and the person I gave it to... here goes
Made from a cheater top that I got when my mother passed away.
Quilted and given to my dear friend Kim in 2011
This colorful and beautiful (if I do say so myself) watermelon panel quilt was made
for a Restaurant shortly after Katrina. I made it because I was fond of the owner.
After I gave it to her, it was thrown in a pile of junk in the back office
and I have only caught glimpses of it still under the pile.
It makes me sad that it didn't mean anything to her.
Oh well, you live and learn.
This Texas star was made from colorful clothing donated to our church following Katrina.
There was such and outpouring of donations, our church was overwhelmed.
After everyone was back on their feet so to speak, with clothes on their backs, our church was left
with the large job of dealing with the overflow of clothes.
I am a tree hugger by choice and hate hate hate waste.
I was given a few hours to look through what was left
I chose a few LOUD shirts
and this beauty was born.
I made it for one of my foster daughters in 2007 and to my knowledge
it is one of her prized possessions
I have many more quilts, I just have to find the pictures.
